This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Toolkit: Scanner & Editor ("the Application"), registered as com.ragheb.pdf, collects, uses, and protects your information. By installing and using this Application, you agree to the practices outlined here.
We respect your privacy above all else. All core functions of the Application—including document scanning, PDF page merging, PDF splitting, image-to-PDF conversion, PDF rotation, digital signing, watermarking, and the secure PIN-locked vault—run entirely offline using local processing libraries. No user documents or sensitive file contents are ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored on external servers or cloud services.
Personal Data: The Application does not require any account registration, email address, phone number, or names to function. We do not collect or request any personal identifiers.
Local Files & Media: To scan documents and manage PDF files, the Application requests camera and device storage permissions. These permissions are used strictly to load, edit, save, and export your local files. File processing occurs solely in your device's temporary memory and is saved directly back to your local storage.
Local Settings Storage: We use an on-device database (Hive) to save local preferences such as dark theme options, recent operations history, and your locally hashed Vault PIN. This data never leaves your device.
To support the development and maintenance of this Application, we use trusted third-party SDKs that may collect anonymous device information:
We use Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open advertisements to non-premium users. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use certain diagnostic or advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) for ad personalization and analytics.
We offer premium subscriptions to remove ads. All payment transactions, subscription renewals, and billing data are securely handled by the Google Play Billing system. We do not store or collect your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment details.
Since your documents and files are stored and processed locally, their security depends on your device's physical security. We highly recommend using the Application's built-in **Secure Vault** (which encrypts files locally using a PIN) to protect confidential documents from unauthorized local access.
The Application does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all document processing is offline, there is no transmission of children's data.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
